First off, nothing according to the Judeo-Christian beliefs, death is not the end. So obviously under that belief, it should be embraced as opposed to feared as people who view death as 'the end' view it. From that alone it should be easy why it's silly as heck to use a situation such as this as a reason to claim God doesn't exist. Furthermore, according to the Bible, events like this could serve as tests and/or testaments for the lives of others (i.e. this person in the video, or an event like this causing someone to come to evangelizing). Disagree with that logic all you want, but to state what you are on this subject just exposes your ignorance to the subject. This is like a whole mental gymnastics. My issue with religioun, its logic tends to be when the argument suits me based. First many atheist used to be religious and just dropped it. So its just as ignorant to claim someone just doesnt understand the religoun. Second, the guys logic for becoming a firm believer is more religioun( agnostic theist) based than atheist based. A point ill get to later. God supposedly chose to have all those poor people slaughtered and chose random special snowflakes to let live. Granted I didnt read the actual article and only this topic, but Im failing to see how this guy was a straight up atheist. Third, id like to point out something that has been glossed over. Theres a difference between an agnostic person and an atheist. Agnostics can range from agnostic theist to agnostic atheist. An Agnostic Theist in short doesnt believe theres enough evidence to prove god doesnt exist, however doesnt firmly believe he exists. An Agnostic Atheist in short doesnt believe theres enough evidence god actually exist, however doesnt firmly believe he doesnt exist.
