The NFL has been losing ratings for the last couple of years after hitting unsustainable and record numbers. TV ratings in general have continued to dip. Like most things in life it's not all one factor and it's being ignorant to suggest as such. No one is saying it's the sole reason. But it is a reason, and that is hurting business. So, owners are absolutely 100% justified in asking players not to do things on the job that are pissing off customers and hurting business. That's what the players' free time is for. Not sure why any of you guys think they should be entitled to behave however they want when they're at work. What would you think if a coach wanted his players to kneel and some players refused and stood for the flag?
