You know, that source seemed really promising, then I saw this:

"From a demographic perspective, it's interesting to note that adult women represent a greater portion of the video game-playing population (31 percent) than boys age 18 or younger (18 percent)."

Yeah, no. This article is being dishonest. It's equating people who casually play Candy Crush on their phones for 2 minutes at a time to people who play actual console/PC games. That's like equating some shmuck who flies an RC copter in his backyard to a guy who flies a fighter jet for the military and calling them both pilots. It's just a stupid thing to do.

Of course, this doesn't mean the rest of the article is bogus too, but it does make it suspect.
