Nobody cares about marijuana anymore, unless you've got enough that it looks like you're dealing. People get jailed for it all of the time. I am not talking about getting sentenced. I hear nightly on the news around here (Flint/Detroit) about people getting pulled over and taken into custody, whether they were smoking it or not, for having marijuana on them (all kinds of varying amounts).
