So it appears that yes, in CA the punishment for intentionally calling someone by the wrong pronoun is worse than intentionally giving someone a fatal disease. No spin to it, the punishment for a caregiver purposely using a wrong pronoun is literally more harsh than if a caregiver with HIV is purposely spreading it.
