| KCF0107 10/11/17 8:31:22 PM #351: | If two seasons in the books are of any indication, Knighton becomes another in the long string of players who have good individual production but don't seem to be making a positive impact for the team. The Chiefs have fielded bottom-half defenses in his two seasons despite him getting after the opposing QB on a consistent basis. The Chiefs are currently slated to have no more than one long starter on defense, so this could be a telling season for Knighton and what he means to the Kansas City defense. Reid was excellent as a backup QB to Jake Delhomme, but in his lone season as a starter, he failed the test of whether or not he could be the long-term starter. The AI is extremely impatient in this game, and they moved on to Josh Freeman last season and presumably Ryan Tannehill this season. Still, being a star backup is far from the worst-case scenario. The Lions OL was uncharacteristically healthy last season as Staley never tallied a start. He did play all 16 games and recorded 7 blocks against 1 sack. His short-term future with the Lions is probably not at LT with a high-rated and just 33 years old Kevin Shaffer in front of him, but I'm sure that the injuries will pile up and we'll see just how good of a player he is, especially since he's going to be presumably blocking for career backup Jason Campbell or rookie E.J. Manuel. --- KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy http://i.imgur.com/VfpY7tg.jpg ... Copied to Clipboard! |
