Vegetarians do not eat fish. Pescetarians do. There's a separate word for that specifically because fish is not vegetarian.

Pescetarian is a new term relatively speaking. At no point is someone that eats fish a vegetarian. They may otherwise follow a vegetarian diet, but fish makes it non-veg. That's as absurd as saying someone is a vegetarian that eats chicken.
