I'll give him a bit of credit because enough of his kills are on the quirky side that you could maybe say that that's his sick sense of humor showing through. Also dig the cha cha cha cha cha sound effects, quite a bit. His mother angle is an attempt to add depth but it's just not very interesting and I'd prefer literally no backstory to it-- mystery is actually better than what you get. --- No problem!
