I didn't try to get it.

I don't have time to get up early and stand on line just whenever.

I have to to say the argument over Rick and Morty fans causing chaos over the sauce seems a bit one sided though.

Yeah, people shouldn't have caused a disturbance over sauce.

But similarly McDonald's shouldn't have released a very limited item that was very high in demand for 1 day only.

It's like if the banks said to show up at a specific time for a limited distribution of free money and it caused a riot as people were fighting over it. Who's fault is that?

Still the people. The bank isn't doing anything wrong by offering free money. In fact they don't have to do that at all, just as McDonald's doesn't have to offer more sauce variety for their chicken testicles.

The argument isn't that "the bank" is technically doing anything "wrong", it's that offering a highly demanded item in extremely limited quantities in a first come first server bases obviously causes people to fight over it. It's made even worse when the item is cheap, or free, because then even more people show up. To say you didn't think that would happen is naive at best.

You're arguing that the person who incites a mob to do something is innocent because they themselves are not a part of the mob.

Your original post says "should" as in what they are obligated to do. Their duty. Just by releasing the sauce at all, this wasn't their duty. They don't have some sort of duty to fill every Rick and Morty fans need for meme sauce. And that's exactly why Rick and Morty fans are pissed - because they think of themselves as having some sort of right to this sauce because a fictional mad scientist said it was good as a joke. I agree that's why they fight because they think of McDonald's as having an obligation to give them sauces. But that is a stupid belief, and yet you give validation to it in your strained attempt to be evenhanded about this. No, McDonald's didn't have to meet all demand on this. They didn't have to meet any demand. These losers need to stop fighting and get a life.

I never said this.

I also didn't say the Rick and Morty fans are innocent. I'm not defending them. You're bringing in your hatred of Rick and Morty and/or it's fans and that's unrelated to the argument.

I'm saying McDonald's isn't innocent for the results of what was essentially a PR stunt.
