Topic | What if 4 or 5 girls decide to team up and falsely accuse a guy of rape? |

I live in a country where the "common consensus" is that one in four women will be raped in college. Clearly my country isn't one where the act of being raped and reporting it ruins your social standing. Dude, you should do some reading on this. Or speak to some female friends about this. That statistic isn't talking about successful convictions, it's talking about women who admit they have been sexually assaulted. And you'll find that an alarmingly high number of women you talk to have a sexual assault story, but almost none of them take it to court. I mean even just last night I was talking to someone who got raped by a mutual friend at a house party while on drugs and she won't say anything about it because everyone really likes the guy and it would certainly mean she'd lose all those friends. She also almost certainly wouldn't get anywhere in court. That's the situation with rape. It's rarely a stranger down a back alley. It's almost always a friend or a friend of a friend. And if you read that anecdote and thought "but she could have just made that up for sympathy" or something like that, you might appreciate why a woman might not even want to tell you about it. Look at what happened with Bill Cosby and Weinstein. Only once a ridiculously high number of women came forward did people pose less "she could be a gold digger" theories. When Nelly was accussed the other week almost everyone on the internet assumed the alleged victim was a gold digging hoe. --- CE's Resident Scotsman. http://i.imgur.com/ILz2ZbV.jpg ...
