Hillary Clinton's media appearances in the UK for her new book "What Happened" we're canceled after the 69-year-old took a tumble.

Clinton missed interviews at both ITV's "This Morning" and the BBC's "Woman's Hour" due to her injury. The talk show hosts were issued an apology but not given an exact reason as to the cancellation, the Daily Mail reports.

Both hosts expressed disappointment at not being able to interview the former Democratic presidential candidate.

"Supposed to be interviewing Hillary Clinton," Philip Schofield, host of this "This Morning", wrote on Snapchat: "but she's fallen over and hurt her foot!! Gutted."

"Women's Hour" host Jane Garvey initially told her listeners that Clinton had been delayed, but as her program went on she realized that it was not likely she'd show up.

"It does look like shes not going to make it before the end of the program," she said. Im really, really sorry about that. I think you can understand just how sorry I am. Were working very, very hard to get this interview rescheduled and Hillary Clinton is very apologetic.so what can I say? Thats the situation."

Garvey later tweeted an image of Clinton's book with the caption: "I'd read the book and everything. Apologies."

According to the New York Post, sources claimed that Clinton fell shortly after speaking at Southbank Centres London Literature Festival on Oct. 15.

At the festival, the former First Lady spoke to the crowd of 3,000 about women's rights.

"I was part of a revolution for womens rights that began in the sixties with real intensity. I became a leader of that movement," said Clinton, who was with her aide Huma Abedin.

Clinton also claimed that President Trump was a sex offender. That same day, Buzzfeed reported that Trump had received a subpoena for all documents relating to "any woman alleging that Donald J. Trump touched her inappropriately." The woman who issued the subpoena, a former contestant on "The Apprentice" named Summer Zervos, claims that Trump touched her inappropriately in 2007.Clinton decided to go ahead with her appearance on the BBC's "Graham Norton Show", for which she arrived several hours later than scheduled.

Wearing a surgical boot, Clinton explained:

"I was running down the stairs in heels with a cup of coffee in hand, I was talking over my shoulder and my heel caught and I fell backwards. I tried to get up and it really hurt. I've broken my toe. I've received excellent care from your excellent health service."

Clinton may reschedule her appearances on some of the shows that she missed. According to the Daily Mail, ITV hopes to have Clinton appear on "This Morning" before she leaves the UK.
