Taking young, virginal, and blossoming companies before embedding their fangs and sucking them dry till they're withered and worthless husks, then tossing them aside to roam the night for their next victim. This happened with Bullfrog, Maxis, Bioware, and now Visceral. Hell, if you go back even further it happened with Origin as well (Makers of Ultima and Wing Commander). Now the corpse of Origin has been violated so badly everyone thinks of the shitty PC client anytime someone says "Origin" rather then the company that made the video game RPG series that inspired pretty much every JRPG. But yea, EA shutting down development studios is so common nowadays it is almost never a surprise. I can see Criterion being next if Battlefront 2 is a flop. --- I am a senior software engineer.
