Been following this all day. I lurk NeoGAF (since I use a free email service so lol no GAF account for me) and while some users were bad apples, some seemed genuinely nice. It's kind of weird to imagine one of the biggest gaming forums on the net may no longer exist soon. Especially since it keeps having database error after database error all day. Not to mention a majority (if not all of them) of the mods bailing out.

They keep saying that there will be a statement soon about all this. I don't buy it. I feel that EviLore is hiding behind GAF's ModBot stealth account and just saying that to keep loyalists happy and saying "WAIT FOR THE FACTS TO COME OUT". Though the repeated closure of multiple topics doesn't help the situation any either. It's all just making EviLore look more and more suspicious.

Honestly, you'd have to be a moron to not see that those making claims that EviLore sexually assaulted them are telling the truth. He even admitted to grabbing a woman's ass a couple years ago at a club to "assert dominance". Then has a paper thin defense of "we all do bad things" and "It was a club, it was to be expected" and shit like that. The dude feels no remorse at all for this actions and feels he as in the right. Honestly, he belongs in jail at this point.

Just looking at all that's happened today from "statement soon" (bullshit), repeated closures of topics, bans for anyone who speaks out against EviLore (he's a tyrant at this point), the constant downtime, and users and mods both peacing out of GAF... I think it's on it's last few days. I saw some on GAF and Twitter suggesting EviLore sells or hands GAF over to a new owner. Yeah, no, he won't do that. His ego and pride won't allow him to do that. If he's going down (and we all know he is), he'll sink the entire GAF ship with him. I know this as I experienced a situation like this myself a while ago.

I used to be into adoptables sites like Dragon Cave, NeoPets, and the like. One of the smaller to medium sized ones was called UniCreatures. The owner of that was a real asshole. He treated everyone like shit and only cared about lining his pockets with as much money as he could squeeze out of his users. People started to speak out against him and would in turn get banned. He got so pissed one day of people calling him out on his bullshit, that he just up and deleted the entire site without letting anyone know. One day the site is there, the next it's gone. The owner disappeared along with the site. I've not heard of anyone being able to get in contact with him ever since he deleted the site.

I feel the same will happen with GAF. EviLore sees his days are numbered and will delete anything and everything related to GAF. That's how people like him work. I don't think many will migrate to GameFAQs. Some might, but not many. A lot there aren't fans of GameFAQs at all (the more elitist ones typically) so they won't even consider coming here so I'd not worry about that too much.

Though all the evidence is there that the accusations against EviLore are legitimate. He's done jack shit to hide that fact. He wears it as a badge of honor. I hope he winds up in jail someday. Aside from some pretty okay people there, I'm enjoying watching GAF sink. There was a lot of toxicity there. Though it'll still feel weird that one of the largest forums will no longer exist. It'd be like if GameFAQs just poofed out of existence. It's a weird as heck feeling. Though I'd not be surprised if some of the people there tried to make their own NeoGAF. Though I doubt it'd be anywhere near as successful.
