It's still early but it looks to me like Super Mario World has improved its number on SMB3 quite a bit, despite that Yoshi's Island being added should if anything hurt it. Seems to me like SNES Classic is making its influence felt. That probably had something to do with FFVI almost beating FFVII a few days ago, too. I don't think Yoshi's Island hurts World more than the other Mario games. It's still the same series. Mario 3 is just getting older.
