This, more or less. For as much negative as social media has created it has also allowed family members and friends from opposite ends of the world stay in contact or reconnect far easier, it's allowed ideas and information to spread at a faster rate, etc. I've always thought it's disingenuous to say it's been a net negative overall on society.
