I felt like there was some genuine tension in the piece, but the instrumentation didnt hold it and capitalize, instead just letting it leak away into passive nothing. Im going to assume that this work is intended to back up whatevers going on on-screen, and isnt meant to be the main focus. And thats fine. There are tons of people who love Jeremy Soules work, who I happen to find boring AF, but I have no problem listening to it in the background of an Elder Scrolls game.
