yeah my best friend was devastated when he got a girlfriend pregnant and she got an abortion. neither where financially stable enough to raise it but he had found someone willing to adopt it, let them see it whenever and even have it back once they had become financially stable.

the most f***ed up thing about that situation though is the girl didn't want the abortion either, her mother made her, said she'd kick her out if she didn't even with the person willing to adopt.

A similar situation happened to my cousin. He was engaged to his gf, and they both agreed they wanted children. They were going to try for kids as soon as they were married. They could easily afford it, and had tons of people willing to help. She ended up pregnant, and they were both over joyed. Then her family started shaming her for being pregnant and not married. He kept telling her that didn't matter, but she eventually caved to the pressure and had an abortion. It devastated him, he felt as if she had betrayed him and killed their child. He broke things off, and went deep into drugs. He ended up losing his business and ruining his life due to his despair. He eventually regained control of his life, and is do much better now. Still, he's never "dated" since then, he can't trust a relationship any more, he only has flings, and there's definitely a difference in his personality. There's so much pain and distrust three still, even many years later.
