We need to increase representation of men and other minorities in those industries. Then we should promote those careers more in grade school when kids are first deciding what careers they might be interested in. Unless there's also a huge hiring disparity based on application rates, then the representation may simply reflect that fewer minorities and males are interested in being teachers and pursue that as careers, at which point no action needs to be taken at all. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
