And thanks for your answer--I found conflicting answers from different sources online (in fact, if you google image search "terms math" you'll get an image that has a different answer)

It makes tons more sense for -7y to be a term rather than -7 since I know you can rewrite subtraction as adding a negative number. Plus it makes my lesson so much easier to teach lol
