There's absolutely no way you could drink rum and then drink gin and conclude that they taste even remotely alike.


They both taste overwhelmingly of ethanol. Can't taste what else the put in. The might smell a bit different though.


I find it very hard to believe someone could not immediately spot the difference in flavours but I'll take your word for it.


Well, I find it hard to believe that anyone could find any of those drinks tasty. But I've never been much of a drunk.
