People always assume I'm Hispanic because of the way I look, and get pissed off at me when I tell them I can't speak Spanish for "not knowing my heritage" or some bullshit like that. I get this conversation at least once a week: "Why don't you speak Spanish?! Where are you from!" Me: "Here." "I mean your parents! Where are they from?!" Me: "Maryland." "You're not Mexican?"
