What fact? The fact that immigration in the past compared to today was a drop of water in an ocean?
You're the one ignoring that historically outside of military conquest, demographics didn't change at all due to immigration because the numbers of people immigrating were too small to have a large impact.
Today you have so much immigration that countries are at risk of having demographic changes so severe that in 1 - 2 generations, Britain, France and Germany could have their ethnic people become a minority in their own homeland.
So yea it's very understandable why people are starting to wake up to the reality that they might lose their culture, identity and homeland.
European culture is always changing.
Do you really think European countries have the same culture today that they had 1000 years ago?
