When I did my student teaching the teacher I was working with told me that the hardest experience any teacher will have is when a student dies. I experienced this the first year in the classroom. Early in the year, too, and she was always truant, so I didn't really have a chance to get to know the girl. Rocked the other classmates pretty hard, though. On the original topic, a lot of people in my graduating class have kicked it. Out of, I think, around 300 to start, there's at least 12. And a friend from band, one year before me, died before finishing college from lupus. When we went to the funeral, she looked nothing like we remembered her, aside from the fact that she was always so lively and upbeat and energetic. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
