Suicide Squad felt like someone tried to make Pulp Fiction with superheroes except never actually watched Pulp Fiction and only heard second hand accounts from people who watched it 10 years ago. What? Suicide Squad was like someone heard about all the things that made Guardians of the Galaxy great, but hadn't watched the movie and used villains. I mean, the whole premise of the movie is fucking stupid. I remember when they first announced it and they described the premise and had this huge soundtrack of music they were going to use. The first thing I thought of was, "Some suits at DC saw Guardians of the Galaxy and was like 'We can do that.'" Which isn't a bad thing because I loved Guardians of the Galaxy, so that caught my interest. Then I saw the movie... Yeah, I pretty much checked out of the DCEU after SS.
