Topic | Despite probably the least liked Deus Ex, I thought DX:I made sense . . . . . |
InfestedAdam 11/15/17 1:43:19 PM #1: | . . . . . in that your character starts off with barely any upgrades, equipment, and money. Your training is essentially interrupted so I thought it made some sense that your character is not fully upgraded and equipped. As for the character essentially becoming a freelancer after that in the story, that I thought was a little odd. In Deus Ex, DX: Human Revolution, and DX: Mankind Divided, I thought it was a little odd that you're working for the government/a major corporation and yet you need to buy your own upgrades and/or steal money. In Deus Ex case, did it seem weird that you passed the academy with basic training in everything and yet your skills starts off as untrained? For DX: HR, Sarif Industry spent whose knows how much money equipping Adam with the best possible augments they have but can't be bothered to give him some Praxis kits? Overall I still love this series and can understand from a gameplay point-of-view why you aren't fully upgraded, equipped, and funded from the very start but from a story point-of-view, did it made any sense? Comments and opinions are appreciated, Thank you --- "You must gather your party before venturing forth" "Go for the eyes Boo! Go for the eyes!" ... Copied to Clipboard! |
