The older I get, the more I think reproduction is unethical. It is completely pointless and is done without consent of the party being born. By creating life, you are creating a being with the capacity to feel intense pain.

I think the sole exception is for individuals who are in positions of extreme wealth and power. If you are able to heavily stack the deck to favor your descendants, then it is justifiable. In the end though, that just brings up ethical questions regarding our social structure.
