It's funny how the places with the most legal gunowners, live in places where there are are very few violent crimes or murders (to the point where most counties reported 0 murders in decades).

It's also funny where places with the most extreme gun control laws, are essentially warzones.

It's funny how this statistic is a) Completely wrong and b) Not controlling for things like population density, income, etc., that have a pretty significant effect on crime.

I mean, if you want to play the statistics game, the US has more guns than any other country on the planet, both in raw numbers and per capita. So by this logic it should also be one of the safest, if not *the* safest country on the planet. What we find is exactly the opposite - it is the least safe first-world country by a fucking mile. It has a murder rate three-to-fucking-twenty times higher than its contemporaries. Meanwhile countries like Japan, Norway, and the Netherlands - all of which heavily restrict or outright ban civilian gun ownership - have some of the lowest murder rates in the world.
