How do you not know Robert Munsch?

Robert Norman Munsch, CM is an American-born Canadian children's author. citation: wikipedia

This is like the opposite of cultural appropriation: There are so many things I take for granted in Canada that I assume America had it first.

Example: Ketchup potato chips

I hate you America... give me my ketchup potato chips. You douse everything else in the stuff, so why not my chips

depends on where at in america I suppose. my yankee step dad says somewhere he lived growing up people would get offended if you put ketchup on hotdogs saying it was for fries not hotdogs. where as I grew up, ketchup just seems to naturally go on a hotdog for most people.
