Obama's whole presidency was built on executive orders, which are flimsy af. And the healthcare plan is not gonna be around long term. I used to believe history would treat LBJ more kindly than he was in his own time. But I've since become convinced that he was far worse than they even thought at that time. Nixon was a criminal. He's not going to be remembered better than Obama. LBJ was really good on the civil rights stuff, but he also gets tagged with the Vietnam debacle. I think Reagan was generally a disaster for the political culture that he ushered in, but I conceded that huge swaths of the country loved the man.
