That looks good but then I remembered you don't eat animal products so it's probably something nasty where the thing that looks like meat is. It's nothing too weird and definitely not nasty. It's young jackfruit that was given a dry rub, cooked, sauced, simmered, and shredded. It's actually tastier than pulled pork imo and I loved to make barbecue a lot before. Many of my omni friends like doing jackfruit BBQ. I had a bunch of extras so I shared with my housemates and they want me to get them jackfruit when I visit the city. They eat meat every day. Only thing I'd do different is make seitan and mix some shredded seitan in, give it more protein and chew. Flavor wise this recipe was spot on to a pulled BBQ meat sandwich and without any random gobs of fat so yay --- Never write off the Doctor! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
