As for the HDR part well the base PS4 has that too so even less of a reason to upgrade. These minor upgrades however are not a must have so it doesn't matter to me. It's no different then having the slim models come out of most consoles for me in the sense that if my current console dies I'll upgrade if the price of the latest model is good enough.
