Adele MacLean was arrested in November after she refused to stop feeding people in need in Hurt Park, Atlanta. The good Samaritan, who works with anti-capitalist group Food not Bombs, told CBS: Well feed probably at least maybe 100 people today Why are they setting up barriers for taking care of human needs? Its not the homeless making the city look like this. Its people driving down the streets in $60,000 cars throwing stuff out the window and making a mess. Georgia State University police said: Those who feed outdoors with no facilities, sanitation, food safety to prevent food borne illness and no order, create serious issues as hundreds gather for a meal.FCC chairman drinks from ridiculously oversized mug as he ends net neutrality Mayor Kasim Reed said at the time: I am proud to announce that with the unanimous approval of the Atlanta City Council, we will move forward with our $50 million commitment to make homelessness rare and brief in the City of Atlanta. We now have the opportunity to end chronic homelessness in our city, and ensure that all women, men and children regardless of circumstance have the chance to live stable, meaningful lives and participate fully in their communities.
