What's most likely happening is that critics see flaws, but still say it's an overall enjoyable movie (a "positive" review). Fans, meanwhile, are more likely to let the things they dislike sour their opinion of the movie as a whole, which means they give it a "negative" review.

In other words, critics are dishonest but fans know what they like and will tell it like it is.

Sure but it's one way to interpret what you said, from a certain point of view.

Gotta remember, almost 100% of the "critics" like it (suspicious to say the least) whereas the commoners are roughly divided on it. You say fans are more likely to let things sour their opinion and give it a negative rating but actually what we know is that fans are divided.
