Being faster doesn't matter much when it loses so many extensions and the ones it keeps are shitty versions of themselves that don't even work very well.

It's clear this change in tech Firefox wanted was forced too soon.


Don't blame Firefox, blame the extension developers who had months and months of lead time on the new engine and didn't update their stuff.

The functionality is just absent.
XUL/SDK was was taken out back and shot long before Webextensions was anywhere near mature enough.

This. At least half of my extensions have explicitly stated they're done since it's not possible to implement them in Quantum.
