Ricemills posted...in my culture, kneeling symbolizes submission. so if someone kneeling for the National Anthem, it looks just like they are fully submitted to the Nation. why the heck it means the opposite in the US? while it's obviously done to call an attention, the nature of kneeling itself is not defiant toward the object it faced. so why the heck people treating it as unpatriotic? heck, praying while kneeling seen as more solemn than praying while standing. --- You have the right to remain silent, anything you post will be misquoted, then used against you. ...
