I mean, lots of viewers did end up missing it in the end so maybe it didn't go far enough, but to me that is definitely safe/handholdy I'll admit Yoda was kind of a handhold, but I don't think it was a bad inclusion. Like you said, many people still didn't get it even after being explicitly being told from the movie itself. People just aren't that bright, and it's a shame movies have to add stuff like this in just to cover their bases. Even then it doesn't work. As for the rest of the movie, it did a pretty good job of subverting expectations. I certainly didn't expect it to turn out the way it did, but I'm also not one to theorize or discuss the movie before I see it. I had no expectations, I went in without knowing a damn thing about the movie and I was surprised by a lot of it, in a good way. I came out loving the movie. Then I saw it three times in one day and still loved it. Seginustemple posted... I love how she can do that but can't move a pile of rocks at the end of the movie I'd argue that moving a large pile of rocks is a bit more advanced than just pulling yourself through empty space towards a huge object. I also think Leia's use of the Force was more of a survival instinct than full control. --- Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
