and the literal president of THE Superpower in the world.

"Popularity contests make me smart!'"

Considering the popularity contest gave him a lot of power over tons of money and the strongest army in the world, as well as the ability to help his family for life...yeah. That's smart.

Especially when you consider he lost the popularity contest but won in the technical, official way by a large amount due to the campaign he ran.

And this was against all odds where people gave him a 1% chance of winning and there was literal internet cultures revolving around disparaging him and his efforts.

I don't understand why people are so results oriented in their evaluations. Even if you ignore the fact that a well run campaign has more to do with the intelligence of the people running the campaign more than it does the intelligence of the candidate, why would their success or failure be the sole grounds for determining how smart someone is? Do you think of lottery winners as being intelligent?

53,667 changed votes would have meant a Hillary victory instead of a Trump one. That represents less than 0.1% of Trump's total votes. Does that determine the difference between Trump being smart or dumb?

Trump believes that people are born with a finite amount of energy and that exercise uses that so exercise is bad for you. Is that a viewpoint that you're more likely to associate to someone who is intelligent or not?
