I never use the Start menu anyway, I just have stuff on my desktop or I just go through the computer thing, search or stuff

Since you're coming from 7, you should know that you can still search in the Start menu (shortcut is the Windows key), AND you can also search with the built-in search assistant Cortana (shortcut is Windows key + Q).

I'll prob uninstall cortana

You can disable it but can't really uninstall it (though you *can* set Windows to a language and region where Cortana isn't enabled... I had mine set to Swedish for a while and the assistant couldn't do crap).

Yeah you can disable it and set your search to only search your local computer. Do those two things and you basically have the Windows 7 search bar.

Google "windows 10 services to disable" to find lists that people have made of services in the services.msc that you don't need. Don't have a printer? Then disable the print spooler. I recommend this for all Windows OS though. The less running in the background, the better.

Windows 10 has a much improved copy/move file function. It's probably 5x faster to copy something now than in Win7.
