Newegg has a relatively loose definition of 2K, it seems. When I think 2K, I think more of this:

Yes, 1920x1080 isn't quite 2K, but it is close. 4K TVs aren't really quite true 4K either, though.

Edit: Looks like companies did start using 2K for QHD monitors. Seems dumb to me since 2K was something else and 2560 is closer to 2.5K, but ok. It is what it is.
