Story time! Once when I was sixteen I was working at cold stone making 5.91$ an hour. I always cashed my check at one of those drive up banks that had the intercoms and the tubes that you would send your stuff up and theyd send your stuff back (I dont think they really have these anymore so some of you might not know what Im talking about) so I send my check up and the lady sends my money back and surprise.. she put an extra hundred in there I say nothing and go directly next door to Best Buy and buy an Xbox 360.

I go home with my new system and my dad is like wtf? And I tell him what happened. Find out later he went to the bank and gave them 100$ back.

This happened to me a few years ago, except it was only $20 extra.

I tried to tell them but nobody acknowledged that I was still in the drive-thru, so I said heck with it, they'll most likely get me in 2 weeks so it's square.

2 weeks later 'hey we gave you an extra $20 last time, we're just gonna take it from this before we send it out to ya.'

I said yep and that was that, no harm, no foul.

Edit: I'd say it was probably a good lesson for that particular teller in being absolutely sure what you are giving people, I had an account there, so I assume they weren't completely worried that I'd 'skip town' or something. lol

If it was more then perhaps it would've been less than 2 weeks later. But hey all is good.
