Why are you so quiet about this story

What does that poster have to do with anything...?

We can only hope that the situation resolves itself amicably, without bloodshed, and that the people of Iran enjoy a rebirth of freedom... That the shackles are finally lifted from them, and their government implements democratic reforms. The people there yearn for freedom.

The true Western enemies of what's happening in Iran right now are those on the right, especially the alt-right, who believe that Middle Eastern race/culture/religion are incompatible with democracy, and therefore they need a dictator to "keep their passions in check..." I think Democrats and neoconservatives are mostly in agreement that that's a disgusting line of thinking, and we're pretty much all on the side of the protestors.
