She wanted live and wait in the past to catch up to her. The key to this story is how the world's changed for both. Rey was lonely trapped in the past. Ben Solo had everyone looking at him as the future. Now roles reversed. Kylo Ren is lonely with the power he craved with nobody to share it with.
