Topic	I flat out don't let stores check my receipt anymore

As BADoglick suggest, being so bothered by something so trivial is not a cause for them to think you're a thief but at the same time it personally would make it me wonder, "What has that person got to hide that they can't spend several seconds for me to just take a glance?". Some nuisances are simply too minor to bother wasting my breath to complain about. Not directly related but If I don't have the time or patience to spend several seconds for said attendant to do his/her job, I have other issues to deal with. It's like me having to spend another minute at a stop light because the car in front of me took too long to move. Is it annoying, yes. Is that one minute wasted going to ruin my day, of course not. I'll be a liar if I say I perfectly use every minute of my day and can't spare that minute. Mead posted... from my perspective you have to personally draw a line somewhere. Otherwise theyre gonna be patting you down before they let you leave their store. I blame the thieves whose actions may have resulted in these checks being done. The store has every right to limit loss of profit from the actions of these individuals. I wouldn't even consider this "invasion of privacy". MannerSaurus posted... Some minimum wage worker touching a loaded gun attached to my body is ALSO not going to be happening. I doubt it'll ever happen but what if by some bizarre chance it becomes a nationwide store policy and must be done in order to shop there? It is a private business so they have the right to refuse us if we don't oblige. On another note, a few stores in my area do have security guards checking the receipts and bags/cart.
