To be honest in general I don't think current Cloud is very good in magicite outside of the earth ones (even then I have Bartz' USB so I probably wouldn't use him for that either) Ultra Cross Slash looses a lot of it's value when the bosses have such ridiculous defense and he barely breaks the 9999 cap.
