If someone legally gets their name changed from Frank to Bob and you keep referring to them as Frank and they complain to your boss about it, the boss might fire you for not playing well with others or harassing customers. Posting something inappropriate on facebook or twitter can lose you your job. Arguing with a customer for any reason can lose you your job. Donating to a certain charity can lose you your job. Hell, the boss not liking the color of your fucking tie can lose you your job in most states.
