Topic | Why do people assume rape accusations are typically false? |
Ultima Dragon 01/11/18 4:02:03 PM #34: | Typically false? No.. but there's enough "I had sex with this one guy but then regretted it later/didn't want to be judged so rape!" going around that it's extremely harmful to victims of actual rape. Which is a shame. That, and all "sexual assault" sort of being lumped together doesn't help either. There's a pretty big difference between being violently raped or taken advantage of when drugged/passed out/otherwise incapacitated and having a guy that you don't find sexually appealing ask you on a date or give you an unwanted gift. --- "It's Canada, their idea of rioting is a half-muttered swear word." - deathbeforelife ...
