Topic	Why do people assume rape accusations are typically false?

I mean, these days it seems rare to find a woman that doesn't claim to have been sexually assaulted at some point. I dare say it's almost the trendy thing to do, like telling everyone how depressed you are or how bad your anxiety/OCD/ADD/whatever is. Which again, is doing a terrible injustice to victims of actual rape. is it "trendy" or is is just that people feel more comfortable opening up, knowing that they're among fellow victims and other people who will believe them? you're probably conflating "assault" and "harassment" - I don't know the statistics off the top of my head, but there's a significant number of women who have experienced the former, and since the latter is a broader term, it would not surprise me if 100% of women had experienced the latter --- peanut butter and dick <cite>averagejoel posted [p:893853571] in Why do peo...
