Topic	Anyone do one of those DNA/ancestry things?

I want to take similar tests with other companies. Yeah, me too. I've thought about it, but I also don't want to just light a pile of money on fire, so I have yet to bother. Saaame. I want to try Family Tree DNA and then 23&me. There is also a test specific to black Americans to discover their African heritage, but that one is the most expensive of all. That sounds cool though. There aren't a lot of black people where I live, but all the ones I seem to meet are either from Nigeria or were originally babies adopted from Haiti, with virtually no exceptions. I'd probably do one more if it was particularly accurate and compare results with what I already have. The big advantage I've had is both my parents' families were able to search back through various records to the 16th century in some cases. They didn't move around very much either, which probably helped with that a lot. The majority of my family today, in terms of numbers, are in the UK, then Canada, then Paraguay (wtf?!).
