"Stop playing politics with the budget" - Whatever side is currently in power

Basically what it seems. But only when the other side does it.

I dunno much about the current situation mind, but from an outsider's perspective, it seems both sides are at fault to a degree.

It's the democrats that were trying to blackmail the republicans into voting for a bill that has nothing to do with the budget, So yes, it is the democrats fault that they shutdown the government over nobody wanting to pass an amnesty bill that only serves to gather permanent votes for democrats and devaluing the men and women that actually followed the law.

So they should simply not contest things republicans want? Both sides can't refuse compromise on an issue really.
