Topic | Is there a form of racism that's not based on xenophobia? |
HeyImAlex 01/23/18 1:16:43 AM #22: | The way I see it, saying that a white person is a social construct is like saying that an apple being a fruit is a social construct. Obviously a society had to determine what an apple is, but it's so widely accepted everywhere that it's become simple fact. I feel like a social construct is something that can change with the times, like the hippie example. There are even some cultures halfway around the world that wouldn't even know what a hippie is, but I would say everyone knows an apple is a fruit. Just like everyone knows the history of white people. --- rock&roll he loved me ere i knew him and all my love is due him. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
